Your Items Aren't Showing in eBay Search? The Title Fix Most Sellers Miss

You search eBay for the exact thing you're selling and your listing is nowhere to be found. It's a common, maddening problem, and it almost always comes down to one thing: relevance.

How eBay decides what shows up

Cassini matches a buyer's search against your listing, and it leans heavily on your title keywords and item specifics. If those don't contain the words buyers use, eBay has no reason to show your listing for that search. "Correct" isn't enough, the title has to be findable.

The title fix

• Use all 80 characters, don't waste them on punctuation or hype words.
• Front-load product type, brand, model, then attributes (size, color, material).
• Use the words buyers actually type. "Sneakers", "trainers" and "running shoes" are different searches, use the ones people search.
• Fill every item specific. Buyers filter by them, and Cassini ranks on them.

Test it like a buyer

Search your item in a private window the way a buyer would. If you don't appear, rewrite the title to match that search and watch where you land. Most "invisible" listings come back to life with nothing more than a better title and complete specifics.
